About the musique:
This song, a favorite of French Marines who garrisoned the outposts of  New France in the 18th century. It speaks of a woman and the loss she feels for her husband who is a prisoner in Holland. She would give anything to get him back again, and repeats in the chorus, "Next to my sweetheart its so nice, so nice, so nice. Next to my sweetheart its so nice to fall asleep."
