David Bybee

 

Commanding Officer-Rank of Capitaine

David (aka La Rose) has been a reenactor for close to twenty five years now, and a member of Contrecoeur for twenty. He has started this when he was a Teenager. He's worked his way up from being a private, to being the commanding officer of this unit.

He has frequently cooked and baked for the group. Outside of reenacting, he enjoys eating, hunting, travel, playing and watching various sports.

 

   

  

Josh Mihalick

Josh, (aka Tiny), has been with the unit since 2000.  He serves as unit secretary/treasurer as well as being Seargent.  Having a degree in accounting, Josh has always loved history.  He is the technical guy of the unit, taking care of all unit policies, paperwork, and documents.  He is always searching for information to help the unit better interpret the history of the French Marines, Capt. Contrecoeur, and our units involvement in the events of the Ohio valley and la Belle Riviere. Josh is very dedicated to the unit, and has strong leadership.

 

 

Patrick Shuey

Patrick, (aka François), joined the unit at age 16 when at the time was performing Scottish Country Dancing at Penn's Colony with a close friend Mark Boucher.  He keeps the unit web page updated as well as being corporal. Having a French mother and good knowledge of the French language, he loves traveling to France and Quebec, indulging in the history and culture of the regions. He enjoys F&I history as well as the family atmosphere of reenacting. He frequently attends events with his long time friend Jared. 

 

 

 

Jim Newell

Began interest in French Colonial reenacting while living in Illinois in 1976. After moving to Western PA in 79, attended Eastern NMLRA Event and used that outfit to wrangle his family past Brian Dunnigan into the 3rd floor of the French Castle over July 4th. There we met people from Trent's Company + Milice de Canada. Jim Stamps was the 1st to call us afrer Niagara and the rest is history.

 

Jim and Helen are also active in 1st Contl Rgt of Foot (as Chaplain), German Rgt (Rev War section) and various civilian impressions at many sites in the Eastern PA area were they now reside.
